Richard Reynolds


As a Manager at Vantage Point Advisors, Inc., Richard Reynolds advises clients on valuation related matters including intangible assets, financial instruments (e.g. equity and debt) for the purposes of financial and tax reporting, merger and acquisition planning, reorganizations, restructurings, financing, and litigation. His industry experience includes: breweries and distilleries, banks and financial institutions, digital and technology products and services, consulting, pharmaceutical and medical products, private equity and venture capital funds, professional sports teams, and retail. During his tenure in the valuation profession, Richard has performed valuations of business entities for fair value and share-based compensation purposes (IRC 409A, ASC 718, and ASC 820), purchase price allocations (ASC 805), goodwill impairment testing (ASC 350), gift tax and transfer tax assessments, venture capital and private equity portfolio holdings measurements, stock freezes, derivatives, and debt instruments.

Prior to joining Vantage Point Advisors, Richard founded Silverpine Group and provided analytical consulting services to established valuation firms along the west coast. Richard provided an array of valuation services to established firms and consulted on over 500 engagements in early-stage technology, medical research, financial services and consulting, and manufacturing companies.

Richard’s hobbies include golf, traveling, cooking, caving, and serving as a Big Brother for the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization.
