David Pryde has extensive commercial litigation consulting experience with disputes involving business valuations, mergers and acquisitions, marital dissolutions, corporate bankruptcy, and the quantification of lost profits, diminution in value, and other economic damages. These matters have occurred in a variety of legal forums, including federal and state courts, the United States Tax Court, Delaware Court of Chancery, and ICC and JAMS arbitrations.
Mr. Pryde has served as a court-appointed business valuation expert and has valued entities ranging in size from closely held family businesses to Fortune 100 companies. His damages experience has involved determining and rebutting damage claims ranging from $10,000 to more than $1 billion.
In addition to litigation support matters, Mr. Pryde has performed hundreds of valuations and other consulting engagements for corporate transactions (buy-side and sell-side), tax compliance, and financial reporting purposes, including purchase price allocations (ASC 805) and goodwill impairment testing (ASC 350).
Mr. Pryde was previously a Senior Vice President in AlixPartners, LLP’s global litigation and arbitration advisory practice. In this role, he consulted on commercial disputes and SEC investigations concerning Fortune 100 and other large companies, often involving damage claims exceeding $100 million. Prior to AlixPartners, Mr. Pryde was a Manager at ValueScope, Inc., where he specialized in valuation related engagements for companies primarily in the middle market.
Mr. Pryde graduated with honors from the University of North Texas where he received a BBA in Finance. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) designations.
